88-year-old Springfield, IL resident, formerly of Effingham, IL and Bone Gap native, Dorothy L. Greifzu, died Wednesday, June 5 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. She worked in a coal factory during World War II and later became a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Women’s Circle and the IBT Sunday School Class.
Surviving are her husband Edward R. Greifzu; children, Ruth Anne Camden of Decatur, IL, Darrel Greifzu of West Des Moines, IA and David Greifzu of Auburn; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services for Dorothy L. Greifzu will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 11 at the First United Methodist Church at 2941 S. Koke Mill Road in Springfield, IL. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 11 until the time of service at the church.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 at the Bone Gap Cemetery in Bone Gap.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
