Elizabeth Kaye Storey

72-year-old Elizabeth Kaye Storey of Carmi, died Wednesday, March 26 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.  She attended DeVries Beauty Academy in Evansville, operated Kaye’s Kurl Shop in Springerton for ten years and retired from Martin & Bayley, Inc. after 20 years of employment. She was a lifelong member of Springerton Christian Church where over the years she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and served in many other capacities.

She is survived by a daughter, Beth (Eric) Beckman and granddaughters, Ruby and Louise of St. Paul, MN; a brother, George Carter of Omaha; a sister, Amy (Mark) Cozart of Norris City; in-laws, Linda and Dwain Allyn of Enfield and Gerri Storey of Carmi; nieces and nephews, Melody (Kirk) Jones, Leslie and Gil Carter, Riley and Madison Cozart; stepmother, Shirley Carter; numerous aunts, uncle and cousins.

Funeral services for Elizabeth Kaye Storey, 72, of Carmi, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 29 at the Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with burial in Springerton Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening, March 28 at the Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.

Memorial gifts may be given in Kaye’s name to the Springerton Christian Church and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home.
