Minnie K. Seifert, age 79, of Albion died on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at her home. She was a homemaker, who also worked hard at many different places of employment throughout her life, starting with the Montgomery Ward, then the Quality Cleaners and Painter-Franklin Hardware store, all in Albion. She also worked for many years as a cook for the Edwards County School system before retiring. She was an avid Democrat, she also attended both Bethel United Methodist Church in Ellery and the House of Prayer in Albion.
Survivors include her son, David Seifert of Albion,( April) of Norris City, IL., her grandchildren: Jamie (Bobby) Walker of Fairfield, IL, and Corey (Taylor) Seifert of Browns, IL, five great-grandchildren: Addison, Lillian, Whitney, Gracie and Ashton. She is also survived by a sister, Margie Chitwood and a brother, Kenny (Betty) Smith, and two sisters-in-law: Eva Smith and Velma Smith, all of Albion. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service for Minnie K. Seifert will be held at 10AM on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion, IL. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery at Ellery.
Visitation will be held from 6PM to 8PM on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion.
Memorials may be made to the Edwards County Dinner Theatre, which is an annual event that Minnie always enjoyed attending. The Ingram Funeral Home of Albion is in charge of all the arrangements.
