Henry Edward Matz, 62, of Carmi, Illinois, died Tuesday, August 16, 2016, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Illinois Route 130, south of Albion, Illinois. Henry was well-known in the White County, Illinois, area as the owner and operator of Tie-On Roofing Company. He was a member of the American Paint Horse Association and the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include his mother, Thelma Pearl Matz; wife Donna Matz; son Joseph Matz and his girlfriend Ally Kershaw; daughters Tiffany (Sean) Hellweg, Angela (Matt) Thompson, Savannah Matz; brother Owen N. (Margery) Matz; sisters Donna Jean Bodell, Diana (Leonard) Stoecker, Sue Garrett, Rebecca Matz (Robert) Beskow; grandchildren Keagan Huffman, and Jace Hellweg.
Funeral services for Henry Edward Matz will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 20 at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi with burial in North Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi.
Visitation will be 5 – 8 Friday evening, August 19 at the Cook Chapel in Carmi.
