93-year-old Fairfield resident, Weldon E. Galiher died Sunday evening, Jan. 10 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Albion. He had worked at Wayne-White Counties Electric Cooperative for 40 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield and was a member of the Albion Masonic Lodge # 356.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandy Dawsey of Albion; a brother, Clifton and wife Bessie Galiher of Granite City, IL; six grandchildren, Janette McCorkle, Eddie Bannon, Billy Dawsey, Misti Inzerma, Justin and Jessie Galiher; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services for Weldon E. Galiher will be 10 a.m. Friday, January 15 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 – 7 Thursday evening, Jan. 14 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield with a Masonic Service at 7 p.m.
