Beulah SmithBeulah Marie (Thomas) Smith, age 94, of Clay City, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Flora Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Flora. She began working at Sparton Manufacturing Company in Flora in 1960 and later retired from there in 1982. She was a 70 year member of Clay City United Methodist Church, joining on May 6, 1945. She was also a 60 year member of Eastern Star.

She is survived by one brother: Merle Douglas Thomas (Norma Jean) of Paducah, KY. Also surviving are nieces and nephews: Phillip D. Henderson (Charlene) of Clay City; Dorothy Henderson of Mt. Carmel; Bonnie Christy (Floyd) of Centralia; Barbara Kirby (Ray) of Sparta, TN; Doris Murphy of Lacey, WA; Marilyn Prince (Tom) of Franklin, TN; Don Thomas (Rena) of Flora; Linda Tolliver (Bill) of Louisville; Norma Gordon (John) of Franklin, NC; Carroll Dean Farmer (Karen) of Port Charlotte, FL; Ann Stoecklin (Don) of Flora; Jane Reynolds of Stonefort; Janet Taylor (Larry) of Clay City; Michael A. Thomas (Lynne) of Paducah, KY; Gary W. Thomas (Ginger) of Paducah, KY; Rodney D. Thomas (Kim) of Burlington, KY; Sandra Sebastian (Barry) of Georgetown, KY; along with several great nieces and great nephews.

A funeral service for Beulah Smith will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2015, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora, with burial following in Clay City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be given to the Flora Rehabilitation & Health Care Center Activity Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
