85-year-old Kenneth Gerald Horton of Grayville died Monday, July 20, 2015 at his home. Kenneth was a truck driver and worked in the Illinois Oil Basin. Building oilfield trucks was his passion.
He is survived by his wife Wilma; a son Jerry Horton and his wife Freida; daughters Donna (Leland) Day and Anita Scarlett all of Grayville; a brother Donnie (Arlene) Horton of Evansville, IN; sisters Eunice McCarty of Bone Gap, Mary Helen (John) Rahmoeller of Grayville; grandchildren J.D. (Mickey) Horton, Daniel (Casey) Horton, Todd (Lindsay) Treadway, Cameron Scarlett, Celeste (Greg) O’Neal, Kenny (Carmen) Stone, and Mark (Wendy) Stone; 10 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Kenneth Horton will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 23rd at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 22nd at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
