Florence Bond Photo89-year-old Piopolis resident, Florence Bond died at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 11 at McLeansboro Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She had been owner and operator of Bond’s Store in Piopolis. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ladies Sodality, the Ladies Auxiliary of the McLeansboro VFW and the American Legion Auxiliary. She also served as an election judge for Crouch Township for many years.

Survivors include three daughters, Jewell Wilson and husband Robert of Dahlgren, Sue Rosancki of Ashley, IL and Nolene Rubenacker and husband Keith of Belle Prairie; two sons, Mike Bond and wife Vicki of Herrin and Robert Bond and wife Cathy of McLeansboro; grandchildren, Deanna Erwin and husband DeWayne of Wayne City, Karissa Renshaw of Dahlgren, Robert Wilson III and wife Shelly of McLeansboro, Shawn Bond and wife Tina of Herrin, Hillary Bayer and husband Bryan of Mt. Vernon, Terry Bond and wife Heather of McLeansboro, Ryan Rubenacker of Belle Prairie and Sarah Rubenacker and fiancé Micheal Smith of Springfield, IL; 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Florence Bond will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 14 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Piopolis with burial in St. John’s
Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5 – 8 Friday evening, March 13 at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.

Memorials may be made to the Hamilton Memorial Hospital Foundation or the McLeansboro Health Care and Rehab Center in McLeansboro and will be accepted at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro, which is in charge of all the arrangements.
