davisJohn Louis Davis, Jr., 87, of Sikeston, MO died Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at the Miner Nursing Center. He had worked as a boilermaker and was a member of the Boilermaker’s Local Union 27. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church of Sikeston. He was an assistant scout master for Boy Scout Troop 43 for
ten years, and was a bus driver for Sikeston Public Schools for five years.

Survivor include his wife, Ivalu Ellis Dow Davis; four sons and three daughters­-in-­law, James and Kimberly Davis of Central City, Ky., Jim and Carol Dow of Sikeston, Robert Dow of Manito, Ill. and Marion and Kari Dow of Scott City; four daughters and three sons-­in-­law, Mary Lou and Jesse Prosise of Park City, Ill., Linda Landreth of Mt. Carmel, Ill., Jennie and Anthony Robertson of Manito, Ill. and Sue Ann and Edward Davidson of Tampa, FL; 21 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and one great­-great grandchild.

Funeral Services for John Louis Davis, Jr. will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 13 at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO with burial in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO.
