95-year-old Olney, IL resident, Eather Mae Howard, died Friday, January 2 at Burgin Manor in Olney, IL. She was a pastor’s wife for over 50 years after moving from Kentucky to Illinois in 1947. Along with her husband she served in multiple charges in the Southern Illinois United Methodist Conference.
Surviving are two sons, Marvin Howard of Mt. Erie and Keith Howard and wife Connie of West Frankfort, IL; five daughters, Joan Leggitt and husband Marion of Oblong, IL, Berdena McKinney and husband Duane of Mt. Erie, and Donna Earnest and husband Don of Florissant, MO, Karen Howard and husband Jim of Hidalgo, IL and Kathy Michels and husband Jim of Olney, IL; 20 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Eather Mae Howard will be at noon Tuesday, January 6 at the Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney, IL. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 6 until the time of service at the Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney, IL.
Memorials may be made to the Preachers Aid Society and Benefit Fund.
