82-year-old Piopolis resident, Francis Joseph Kaufman, died at 2:55 p.m. Saturday, September 27 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. He was a construction worker, and member of St. John Baptist Catholic Church at Piopolis.
Surviving are a sister, Mechtilda “Tillie” Kaufman of Piopolis; two brothers, James Steven Kaufman and wife Phyllis of Mt. Vernon, IL and Otto Kaufman of Peoria, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Francis Joseph Kaufman will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 30 at St. John Baptist Catholic Church in Piopolis. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery at Piopolis.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday, September 29 at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Mass Offering or a charity of your choice, and will be accepted at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
