Ralph D. Lancaster, Jr., 79, of Newton, Illinois, died at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Newton Rest Haven in Newton, Illinois. He worked as a truck driver for Midwest Transport and retired in 2011. Ralph was a member of the Flora Assembly of God. Over the years, he served as a Sunday school teacher, as well as, on the church board.
Survivors include his wife Anne Lancaster of Newton, IL, daughters, Deona Dugger and husband Greg of Sumner, IL, Darla Davis and husband Bob of Olney, IL, and Candy Royce and husband David of Noble, IL, step-children, Debby Wilson and husband Randy of Newton, IL, Tammy Hinkle and husband Jim of Fairfield, IL, and Misty Gray and husband Ken of Ottawa, IL, 5 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren, sister, Rose Davis of Claremont, ILHe was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, June, son, Gerald Lancaster, great-grandchild, Deona Elaine Dugger, and sisters, Maxine and Doris.
A memorial service for Ralph D. Lancaster, Jr. will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Flora Assembly of God in Flora.
Memorials may be made to the Flora Assembly of God and may be received at the church or the Kohn Funeral Home in Flora, which is in charge of all the arrangements.
